Went up to the Gorge this last weekend. We ended up fishing for Bass and Kokanee. The Bass fishing was absolutely fantastic. We fished up around the Buckboard area and most of the fish were still on beds. We did keep a some fish so bass lovers don't freak out, because if you know anything about the gorge you should practice selective harvest on the the smaller ones. I didn't catch anything big 2 1/2 pounds was about the biggest but it was let go. We caught all our fish on 3 1/2 Maniac cut'r bugs in the Blue magic, changeable craw and the best was the Predator color. We split shot all our fish and only caught a couple on jerk baits. We also fished for Kokes had a couple of stellar days and a couple of slow days but all in all it was some good fishing. The one day we caught a couple just under the four pound mark and finished off our limit with 3 pounders. We used Rocky mountain Squids behind a dodger in the Uv color. Fished around the big bend area by Buck board.
