Last weekend I fished the all species derby at Flaming Gorge with Skeeter, we started fishing on friday up on the north end of the lake into the Blacks fork and also in the Green river, but didn't catch many Bass up there, but did catch a bunch of trout and lost a rainbow that would of been about five pounds. Saturday morning we fished the Lucerne area and caught a bunch of Rainbows up to three pounds and Bass up to 2.6 pounds, we just couldn't find any big fish anywhere. Sunday we went back up the lake to see if we could catch the big Rainbow that I lost on Friday and couldn't seem to catch any bows bigger than 2-3/4 pounds. We caught trout and bass on tubes, Maniac Minnows and Cut'r Bugs, the 1-1/2" Cut'r Bug rigged on a 1/8 oz orange round head was the hot lure for the Trout.
We had a good time and the weather was great, and that is all that matters.
