    Rainbow lake high uintahs

Hey Brain nice bass, had a blast fishing with you, wish the wind was not so bad. Headed into the Uintahs a couple of weeks ago for some R & R. Despite the long hike into the lake and rain that is expected in the Uintahs we had a blast. We were catching bright colored brookies all day long and a few with a little size to them 15 to 16 inches. Not bad. I was fishing Rainbow Lake in between rain and lightning when I hooked into a 17 inch arctic grayling my first ever. From what I hear 17 inch is not a bad grayling. I now understand why people think so highly of this fish, they are absolutely beautiful. I can’t say enough about the Uintah lakes if you have not backpacked into the back country I strongly suggest it.

Great report, it sounds like a fun time on the high Mountain lakes. I have always wanted to catch some Grayling but never have. That fish might be a record, you should check into it.
